I am interested in the interactions that exist between people, the communities that they form, and the ever-present struggle to create a current definition of self while guarding connections to origin and history. Links to the places we consider home are built, changed, and destroyed through our relationships and dependencies on each other. Remnants of personal history keep a firm grasp on our future as our present unfolds.

I use photography as a means to look closer at the ties created between people...those that we rely on, disregard, and strive to protect.
